About Mahibere Kidusan
Name
The association was named Mahibre Kidusan (an association in the name of Saints) Saints would be commemorated in that they abounded the secular world and sacrificed their lives to the orthodox belief for whom the prophets prophesized and apostles evangelized.
History
In 1977 E.C (Ethiopian Calendar) few students of higher education initiated the youth in the compass to become members of Sunday school and know the teachings of the churches. Later, this effort had been strengthened by students trained in the Zeaway Hamere Berehan St.Gebreil Clergy Training Monastery by the Then Arch Bishop of Shewa Abune Gorgorious II.
The movements continued in Bilatie military camp that brought all students of higher institutions in the country in 1983 E.C after a year, with the blessing of the church fathers the associations was set up by the name “Mahibre Kidusan” under the Sunday School Department of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Since then the associations has been proving spiritual service.

Stand
The association shall not interfere in administrative affairs of the church and it is free from and political affiliation.
Membership
- Disciples who trained in various training institution of the church and providing ministerial activity.
- Higher institution students attending Sunday in their respective parishes.
- Member of Sunday school or/and parish that provide spiritual service after graduating from higher institution.
- The laity who support the objective of the association with their knowledge, money and labor.
Structure
Mahiber Kidusan is set under the Sunday School department of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. It provides spiritual services by its sub centers in the dioceses all over the country and in the Diaspora.
Aster’eyo Mariam
Amid the Age of “Aster’eyo/revelation/, not only Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ’s as well as the oneness and Threeness of God was revealed, but also the departure of Holy Mother Saint Mary on Tir 21, of which we make a feast known as “Aster’eyo Mariam.”
Laity’s Role in Church
Feasts known by the order of Holy Orthodox Incarnation Church have their own liturgy and laities have role in them. In this section, we will see what is expected from laities during the celebration of the feasts.
“My Childhood”
Dear Children of God, how are you? How have you been this past few weeks? How was the holiday of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s Baptism? Did you spend it according to the liturgy with your families, relatives, neighbors and friends? Hope you had good and joyful holiday!
Children! the feast of Baptism is the holiday for all of us. Our Lord Jesus was baptized for us to be cleansed from any kind of evil (bad) deed (work). This baptism is for all in the name of Christian orthodox. But, today we will tell you about the Baptism that makes us the children of God, which is known as “Childhood”, in the Name of Holy Trinity; The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. This liturgy is done in Church at the age of 40 days for boys and 80 days for girls, where we are given the name Christianity.
Cana of Galilee
Cana is northern part of Israel in Galilee. Holy Bible in scripted about this place because of the miracle our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ performed during Apostasy Age, at a weeding held in Cana, in the presence of His Mother Saint Virgin Mary and the disciples.
Baptism of Jesus
Onwards the fall of Adam and Eve, mankind lost his childhood and thus The Holy Son came down from heaven in becoming human from Virgin Saint Mary for redemption. Amongst the major work of God in soteriology is the “Baptism of Jesus.”
