Torah, the first section of the bible, pioneered the name of the Almighty God; in particular to Genesis, “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.” (Genesis 17:1)
“O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth,
Who have set Your glory above the heavens!
Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have ordained strength,
Because of Your enemies,
That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth!”
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ thought as that God watches over each of His children. The letter to the Hebrews notified us about angels who are ‘sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation.’
Easter Week is the week after resurrection or Easter. The days, termed by religious fathers are as follows:-
The Resurrection of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the Holy day for all Christians. It is the foundation of the Christian faith. Apostle Saint Paul stated, “And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is vain and your faith is also vain.” His words attested of Lord Christ’s rising from the dead. “and was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.” (1 Corinthians 15:14, Romanians 1:4)
Passion Week is the last week of Lent; Holy Church customized the Holy week for all the Christians whom shall be liberated from sin and for our redemption. Whilst, Laities at Church are expected to bow down pleading and in remembrance of all the agony that Our Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed for our salvation.
Palm Sunday is a blessed day for we shall all be reminded as we enter into the mystery of our salvation as Lord and Savior Jesus Christ journeys to His cross, descent into Hades, and glorious resurrection.
The story of Nicodemus edifies the value of Humility. He held a high position in the Jewish nation. He was highly educated, possessed talents and was honored member of the national council. Though rich, educated and honored, he had been especially attracted by the humble Nazarene, our Lord Jesus. He did not talk with Him about state affairs, though he was a ruler, but about the concerns of his own soul and its salvation.
Prophet David uttered these words, in his long lasting tiredness and while becoming troubled due to its extent. So, he cried out to the Lord saying: “How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?” (Psalm 13:1-6)
