The world carry’s diverse species of animals accord their nature of in habitant. They differ in their living domicile, state and function. Dispersed in their homespun, they bornin, grow, recycle and die although this natural process varies according to their nature.
Many experts have attempted to study and acknowledge the nature of all the existing animals in the world. Though they have succeeded in some, still are mysteries creatures living on the globe in human inhabitants. God’s work is marvelous and only few chosen can comprehend His endeavors.
The bible has in scripted about the edible and non-edible, as well as the obedient and disobedient animals. It is stated as, “You shall not eat any detestable thing. These are the animals which you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat, the deer, the gazelle, the roe deer, the wild goat, the mountain goat, the antelope, and the mountain sheep. And you may eat every animal with cloven hooves, having the hoof split into two parts, and that chews the cud, among the animals. Nevertheless, of those that chew the cud or have cloven hooves, you shall not eat, such as these: the camel, the hare, and the rock hyrax; for they chew the cud but do not have cloven hooves; they are unclean for you. Also the swine is unclean for you, because it has cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud; you shall not eat their flesh or touch their dead carcasses.
“These you may eat of all that are in the waters: you may eat all that have fins and scales. And whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean for you. “All clean birds you may eat. But these you shall not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the buzzard, 13 the red kite, the falcon, and the kite after their kinds; every raven after its kind; the ostrich, the short-eared owl, the sea gull, and the hawk after their kinds; the little owl, the screech owl, the white owl, the jackdaw, the carrion vulture, the fisher owl, the stork, the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe and the bat. “Also every creeping thing that flies is unclean for you; they shall not be eaten. “You may eat all clean birds. “You shall not eat anything that dies of itself; you may give it to the alien who is within your gates, that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to the Lord your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.” (Deuteronomy 14:3-21)
Obedient and disobedient Animals
Animals have their own characters and live through it in their inhabitant. Thus their relationship with human relies on their behavior and function towards our routine. Mostly wild animals such lion, tigers, leopards and such, are hazardous to live with humans. Therefore, have the characters of being disobedient. They inhabit in the forest and gather their food hunting deer’s, impala, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, hyenas, and wild dogs. Wild animals have dangerous characters and people are victimized by their nature. Any of them towards the presence of any human is most likely to be eaten and severely be injured.
However, domestic animals such as Dogs, cats, rabbit and alike obey humans and even adapt to live with them sharing their food, drinks and shelter as well. The bible exemplifies these animals by righteous people because they are obedient to their Lord, follow the rule without forgetting the good and harm being faithful to their Lord until their death day.
The righteous father Job have said, “now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you; Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know That the hand of the Lord has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing.” (Job 12:7-10)
In times like this, where the world is in chaos socially, economically and drastically, people are in confusion and hopelessly leading their lives as it comes and goes. Fear has surfaced all over their home and neighborhood out of the national and universal tribulations that is believed to result from our sins where people have literally became beasts killing one another. We humans have defied the law of God and His rage is proven with all the plagues, massacres and crises which occurred all over the world. So, with anxiety and fear, people became anxious and sorrowful for their disobedience led to all the carnage. This loss in not just the worldly but also eternal death.
So as Job said, we ought to observe those domestic ones and realize their obedience in following the rule and law of our Lord. We shall look in to ourselves and realize how much we have disappointed God and plead for His mercy. We have to remember to use our valuable mind that God has created for us to differentiate the good and bad even do more to be righteous.
Animals does not have the characters of humans but are obliged to be obedient and good with training without having the mind to acknowledge the good and bad. How is that humans became numb to be considered mindless and act as beasts?
Brethren, we shall look deep in to ourselves and recognize our sinful acts and deeds, all the mistakes and harms we brought upon us to receive God’s mercy. It is the time for much prayer and fast without the desire and will of corporeal.
