The Third Glorious Mystery

The Decedent of the Holy Spirit

June 18, 2021

The Almighty God embraced human race with His Glorious Mysteries onwards the crucifixion of His beloved Son, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The third mysteries amongst, is the decedent of the Holy Spirit on the tenth day of Lord’s ascension in to Kingdom of heaven, the Pentecost.

Pentecost, one of the major feasts during the Jewish year; celebrated thanks giving for harvested crops commemorated on the fifty days after the grain harvest, processions of pilgrims bore baskets of their first fruits to the temple as a thank offering for the harvest.

The Holiday is the fulfillment of the Harvest festival: Fifty days after the sickle had been put to the grain, comparable to fifty days after Jesus was crucified and buried, fifty days after the promised Seed that had been buried in the ground sprouted to life. After the fulfillment of His salivation; Jesus had made a covenant with His disciples to establish a new covenant, to establish a new Church.

Accord Lord Jesus’ promise to the Saint Apostles, “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high,” the Holy Spirit descended from Heaven. “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.  Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4, Luke 24:49)

Whilst Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles “the power from on high,” they began to preach and bear witness to the rising of the Kind and the Lord Jesus. The Apostles then were able to speak perfectly in seventy two languages.

The Holy Spirit’s decedent of is celebrated with the full revelation of the divine Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The oneness of the Godhead is manifested with the descended of Holy Spirit’s.

Holy Church commemorates the decedent of the Holy Spirit day as the final execution of Lord Jesus Christ. It is the first beginning of the messianic age of the Kingdom of God mystically present in this world in the Church of the Messiah. Thus, the fiftieth day stands as the beginning of the era which is beyond the limitations of this world, fifty being that number which stands for eternal and heavenly fulfillment in Jewish and Christian mystical piety: seven times seven, plus one.

May we be blessed with the Holy Spirit on the Pentecost Day, Amen!
