The Queenship of Saint Mary
The Divine Wisdom of God for the salvation of the world is done through His tremendous mercy. The primordial covenants of the Old Testament were without the capability of redeeming mankind. The absolute covenant was done by the seventh covenant for the salvation of human race thru Holy Saint Virgin Mary.
She is given the covenant of mercy and for this we plead calling her “Covenant of Mercy.” The promise made for Adam is done thru he; for she gave birth to The Holy Son, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in virginity. He suffering and was crucifixion on the cross was by her flesh and soul.
As we find it written in Mariology, after Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s ascension, Saint Virgin Mary went to His grave Golgotha and prayed pleading for the salvation of humans. Then He gave her the covenant of mercy on Yekatit 16.
This holy day that we are bestowed a mercy of covenant is very great and thus Holy Church celebrates it colorfully. This Queenship of Saint Mary is the confusion of all the previous six covenants which are Covenant of Adam, Covenant of Noah, Covenant of Melchizedek, Covenant of Abraham, Covenant Moses and Covenant of David. In the commemoration of this eternal covenant, we make celebration in Church by praising in Psalm, Maheleate Song and Divine Liturgy.
Dear Brethren, we shall acknowledge this covenant of the New Testament, which is made for our salvation of soul and plead in the name of Saint Mary’s Queen ship and commemorate her feast day by feeding the hunger, water the thirst and aid the deprived.
May our Holy Mother’s Saint Mary’s intercession and Mediation be with all of us, Amen!
