About Mahibere Kidusan
Name
The association was named Mahibre Kidusan (an association in the name of Saints) Saints would be commemorated in that they abounded the secular world and sacrificed their lives to the orthodox belief for whom the prophets prophesized and apostles evangelized.
History
In 1977 E.C (Ethiopian Calendar) few students of higher education initiated the youth in the compass to become members of Sunday school and know the teachings of the churches. Later, this effort had been strengthened by students trained in the Zeaway Hamere Berehan St.Gebreil Clergy Training Monastery by the Then Arch Bishop of Shewa Abune Gorgorious II.
The movements continued in Bilatie military camp that brought all students of higher institutions in the country in 1983 E.C after a year, with the blessing of the church fathers the associations was set up by the name “Mahibre Kidusan” under the Sunday School Department of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Since then the associations has been proving spiritual service.

Stand
The association shall not interfere in administrative affairs of the church and it is free from and political affiliation.
Membership
- Disciples who trained in various training institution of the church and providing ministerial activity.
- Higher institution students attending Sunday in their respective parishes.
- Member of Sunday school or/and parish that provide spiritual service after graduating from higher institution.
- The laity who support the objective of the association with their knowledge, money and labor.
Structure
Mahiber Kidusan is set under the Sunday School department of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. It provides spiritual services by its sub centers in the dioceses all over the country and in the Diaspora.
Lord Jesus Cleanses the Temple
Jerusalem where Our Lord Jesus Christ was born, circumcised, baptized, and lived for thirty three years for fulfilling the vow of salvation of mankind was a blessed city. Being the reason during the apostasy era, the Lord preached that many were saved and healed with His divine power. Though before His forthcoming heresies and pagans surfaced, His spread of ‘The Gospel’ called thousands and thousands to the House of God for eternal life. His words, preaching and miraculous spread all over the world, bringing them to witness His presence in His birth town.
But though there were others who denied Him being ‘The Holy Son of The Holy Father’ and refused to accept His words. They even tried to destroy His house ‘Holy Temple.’ Especially Jews were His foremost enemies which later on even were the ones to crucify Him. Even though His will was upon their deed for He had to sacrifice His life in saving us. This being the reality, Lord Jesus forbidden all evilness whilst His reside on earth.
Holy
Holy is a word that expresses the notion of purity and righteousness. All creatures of “The Holy Father, The Holy Son and The Holy Spirit” shall be Holy as He created us as in His image and embodiment.

God’s Will
Living in a deceitful world, we struggle against evil but God is always sovereign and His will is upon human for redemption and freedom. (Romans 8:28) In scripted in Holy Scriptures, God’s will is of two kind; God’s revealed will and Mysterious will.
“He had fasted forty days and forty nights” (Matthew 4:2)
His Love and Passion driving Him on earth for the salvation of mankind, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ came from heaven to hunger, suffer and die in giving His life in return of us.
