“I am the Almighty God” (Genesis 17:1)

Torah, the first section of the bible, pioneered the name of the Almighty God; in particular to Genesis, “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.” (Genesis 17:1)

The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble” (Nahum 1:7)

God is a good father, who wills safety for His children, for they will be reversed from suffering. During Torah, while Israelis were imprisoned by the Egyptians, God protected them from their enemy scam and their sufferings they brought on them. As it was His will to free them Egyptians and called upon and Prophet Moses and said, “Therefore say to the children of Israel: “I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.  I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.” (Exodus 6:6-7)

“God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good” (Genesis 1:31)

God created men for glory; however, some creatures are more glorious than their forefathers and mankind is the foremost amongst them. The Prophet Moses, who wrote the history of creation says, “He saw that it was good,” but when it comes to man, he concludes, “He saw that it was very good.” Saint Jared the Great said, Greater than the Sabbath day, He is the greatest of all creatures.” (Genesis 1:31)

Gospel

A Gospel narrates life of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth, his teachings and all the miracles He perform. His life is a form of foundations of the Christian faith. Lord Jesus Christ chose four Apostles from the 12; Saint Matthew, Saint Mark, Saint Luke and Saint John, known as the four Evangelists to write his stories in the Holy Bible.

“Forget not the Creator through negligence and carelessness!” Supreme Council Abba Abera Bekele

“Man can refrain from seeking God because of his misuse of personal freedom and other problems or influences. Because of his negligence and carelessness, he may have forgotten his Creator. In fact, history has shown that Man had forgotten God entirely, being a fact reflected widely in our generation today,” said Supreme Council Abba Abera.

“Lean not on your own discernment” (Proverbs 3:7)

Leaning in our own discernment or understanding and seeking not the wisdom of God, we lose fear of God. But, fear of God is the beginning of knowledge and trusting in the LORD is necessary of attaining any of the wisdom of life. Trusting the Lord is to fear him with all our heart indicating trust which is beyond intellectual assent to a deep reliance on the Lord, a settled confidence in his care and his faithfulness to his word.

“God is light and in Him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5)

God is Light of the world; as the sun rises daily and the moon sparks at night, HE is the light shining for eternity. Saint John’s message to all Christians about HIM states, “This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth; but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (1 John 5-10)

““The name of the second river is the Psihon; it skirts through the entire land of Cush” (Genesis, 2:13)

Heaven, a paradise of righteous dwelling, there flows four rivers, Ephesus, Pishon, Tigris, and Euphrates. A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters.  The name of the first is the Pishon; it skirts through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.  (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.) The name of the second river is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Cush.  The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.” (Genesis, 2:8-14)
