“Turn from your evil ways” (2 kings 17:13)

The creator of all creatures our Lord and the Almighty God does not allow any evil deeds as proven first also in the Old Testament in the history of Israelis liberty He says, “Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?” But sinners, because they hate the Lord and repentance, fall into the hands of the people of God, in this case Israel, who is not in disposition to show mercy to them, and for those people, the Judgment of the Lord is decided. (Ezekiel 33: 11)
Evil ways have many forms including harming others, racism, selfishness and worshiping pagans (witches). Any evil deed starts with the thought of harming others. People begin desiring what is not theirs and thus strive hard to attain it. This might even include stealing, corruption and murder for the sake of wealth, fame and happiness.
Throng of people in our world assumes their race better than any other. Their thoughts revolve on benefiting their tribe but on one else and thus attempt to destroy the rest. Numerous have been slaughtered without reason doubt for their black skin and their minority. This being evil, hatred subsides amongst and conflict arise between tribes within just a country. Ethiopia is the first to be mentioned. One of the main reasons for racism is selfishness that is harmful habit within the history of mankind. As it is written, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” We ought to have love others. We shall love other just as we love ourselves. Otherwise, it is impossible to live with each other. The highest degree of selfishness leads to the craving of destroying others entirely for the sake of wealth, fame and authority. The first action that can probably be taken is a short cut to acquire all their evil thoughts and desires. Many people worship pagans today, for their worldly life to be fulfilled. They in-habit the use of evil spirit just to be rich, famous or happy, But this is eternal death for their impurity of soul. God’s word confirms, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” (Leviticus 19:18)
Thus, those who are on evil ways must seize and repent for there is no other way of salvation. Believe it or not, there is judgment day, confirming our evil or good deeds whilst we stand before God, whom we have disappointed or pleased. No human soul could ever escape His judgment and punishment. We might feel like the world revolves around us when we are rich, famous or happy. But that vanishes at the end of our life time and the time is very short. Accordingly, Saint Peter said, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9-10)
Brethren, let us seize to do any harm and make time for repentance!
May God have mercy on us and accept our repentance; Amen!
