The Child Martyr
Deceitful and feeble as human body is, the diligence thru the endurance of the suffering, tribulations and trail in living spiritual life and being Christians is significant. The scarification of the true witnesses of the True Lord, by their scarification for the true faith and Orthodox Religion has a special place.
Devoid of fearing the fire and the chain, surrendering to unbearable pain, the honor of the martyr is distinct. The absolute love of the Lord, is their power and endurance of all the misery pagan kings or else heathen monarchs otherwise all traitors, facing them upfront and become true witness.
The mesmerizing truth above all is their faith that resolute even when the pagans put them into burning fire, boiling water or become food for wild animals as such as lion. The Lord Who endows power and endurance for those in believe and reliance of Him, as merciful and forgiving He is, wills not the misery of righteous, saints and martyr but saves them by His angels making the boiling water cold, changing the burning fire into water and ordering the wild animals to lick the hands and feet of saints. Though enemies torture His children, the Lord comforts and sympathizes them Coming down from the heavens with tons and thousands of angles. (Hagiography).
On the blessed day, Hamele 19, the Lord’s magnificent work revealed was by the child martyr. This day, the governor put the child in boiling water with his mother and so Julitta was sacred. Then, Cyriacus comforted her saying, “dear mother, do not be afraid.” When fear came over his mother, and her faith dwindled, he prayed to God on her behalf, and God lifted up her heart to heaven, and she saw the habitation of the spirit. She became strong under the torture, and gave thanks to God. And she said unto her son, “O my son, henceforward thou art my father, and I am thy blessed daughter; blessed be the hour wherein I bore you.” Then the water became cold like frost. It was Archangel Saint Gabriel who performed this miracle.
The governor was ashamed, and tortured the child severely with every kind of torture, which even a grown up man could not endure, and he tortured Julitta. The mother of the child, even as he tortured her son, but God raised them up whole and uninjured. Because of this many people marveled, and believed on our Lord Jesus Christ, and became martyrs, and the grace of the Holy Spirit descended upon them.
The child Cyriacus healed many sick folk, and performed great miracles. When the governor was tired of torturing them he commanded the soldiers to cut off their heads with the sword, and they did so, and the saints received the crown of martyrdom in the kingdom of the heavens on Tir 15. The marvelous and wonderful work of saints is thoughtful and mentor for all of us. Their prayer, intercession and medication is what help us be bestowed remission of our sin.
