Mahibere Kidusan (MK) is marking Campus Fellowships Week from December 30 – January 5, 2015 under the theme “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…”  (Heb 10:25).

Campus Fellowships are established in higher learning institutions across the country with the support of MK to coordinate programs and services offered by young Orthodox Christian students in their respective parish churches, Sunday schools and higher learning institutions. Currently, there are 369 Campus Fellowships catering for the spiritual education needs of the hundreds of thousands of Orthodox Christian students under them, parallel to their secular studies.

As per the responsibility bestowed on it by the Holy Synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, MK has been teaching students of higher learning institutions for decades. MK conducts its education programs in line with the curriculum and spiritual course books it prepared for the Campus Fellowships. It also assigns teachers for the fellowship education programs in coordination with the parishes where the respective institutions are located.

  The Aim of the Program

  • To create awareness among parents about the advantages of taking part in Campus Fellowships for Orthodox Christian students. It also sets the platform for parents to discuss Campus Fellowship programs and provide the needed support to strengthen them.
  • To explain to parents about the benefits of campus services for their children to keep their faith and lead ethical life.
  • To share information that helps Campus Fellowship services to grow.
  • To facilitate experience sharing among campus students especially on the benefits of taking part in Campus Fellowships
  • To support MK’s Main Department of Campus Council financially, materially, in manpower and management
