Glory to God!
May 11, 2021
Every human soul shall thank the Almighty God for we are created in His Glory for His Gratitude. The entire services of worship in Holy Orthodox Church, begin with either the terms ‘Bless’ or ‘Glory.’ In accordance, we shall praise Him daily for the blessings of grace showered upon us; our rejoin for His blessings as humble servant is our love. We convey our gratitude with songs of glory to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Glorifying our Lord is the reminder of our Love towards Him for He was sacrificed for our salvation; we shall praise Him through our prayers. “Glory is a term we use throughout our prayers. Glory describes and defines us. We are the glory people par excellence. We know why we give glory, and to Whom we give glory. He is the One who has enlightened us. He it is who opens our spiritual eyes, and He it is Whom we see with the eyes of our souls. We perceive Him to be God, and we discern that He is not just One, but Three Persons in One Essence,” said Father Vladimir Berzonsky of Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America.
He also stated about our payers in Glorifying Him; We thank God grateful for His safeguard as “We are in God’s eyes made from dust to rise in glory and live with God forevermore, long past the time when time and the universe will end. In that sense, all our prayers are meditations about this profound mystery of life.”
We shall praise Him as Prophet David:-
“O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth,
Who have set Your glory above the heavens!
Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have ordained strength,
Because of Your enemies,
That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth!” (Psalm 8:1-9)
Gratitude to You Our Lord for the Love You have shown and the life You have given us; we praise you every day!!!
