“I am for peace” (Psalm 120:7)

There is no inner state humans crave for more than peace of mind. The core of our conscience is based on the stability of our peace. Volatility of it derives chaos and insecurity both mentally and physically. As it is in scripted, peace is “a state of quiet or tranquility; freedom from disturbance or agitation; applicable to society, to individuals, or to the temper of the mind.” (The King James Version)

Dear Christians! Whichever state humans be, devoid peace of mind, nothing ever is set to be done or has futurity. So, from where shall we be endowed peace?! We might think it is from external power but not inner one. Some even assume, all the wealth gathered from our income or else in heritance, the fame we attain due to worldliness and luxury brings everything in life, though nor the fanatics or elites surroundings the so called “people who have it all” are not bestowed inner peace. The world itself has become witness to all the failure upon the universe’s powerful country and men being in chaos and disaster. Natural Hazard’s constant occurrence and immediate danger causing divers’ disasters upon the elites including the so called powerful governors brought their downfall mentally, economically and politically. Many celebrities have lost their homes that led to catastrophic ruin of homes, families and communities.

The recent calamitous has not only brought the deterioration of world’s peace but also, put it all in a worsened world’s tribulation. It is impossible to have communal and national peace without the stability of individuality and then, the sociality in general. Foremost, one shall have peaceful mind, be in peace with his families, neighbors and community in having peaceful nation and attain world peace. The value of peace is beyond what men can express in daily life. Not only we seek it in everyday life, but cannot live without if it turns to nonexistence.
Living in peace is to acknowledge the word of God and abide His law that safeguards us from any harm and evil. The prophet Jeremiah has formerly told us “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 2:11) The Apostle Saint Paul in his epistle to the Romans has told us to be in peace in every human situation. “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” (Romans 12:18) The Prophet David words in his psalms “I am for peace;” marks the necessity of peace of mind. (Psalm 120:7)

The word of God transpired by the apostle and the prophet are what makes us realize as to how to be peaceful and live in peace with other brethren’s. It is well known the righteous are peaceful people. They live in peace and harmony by the word, law and work of God. It is The Holy Son Who gave us peace after the triumph on enemy Satan. The Lord has affirmed Himself saying, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)

The truth we seek to be aware of having peace and being in peace is by the true Lord. The world was in catastrophe, darkness and slavery before He came down from the heavens in endowing us freedom and peace. Mankind’s imprisonment sinfully changed its paths after the work salvation of Him. It is He Who made mankind be in consultation with His creator God. He gave us the way to salvation by His crucifixion, liberating we humans for the attainment of world’s peace. Satan got imprisoned whereas we got our freedom and peace.

Later on the Lord’s work of salvation avowed by His ascension and descendant of The Holy Spirit, the apostle as well as our Patristic Fathers taught us how to be in peace and live by it. The Apostle Saint Paul again tells us, “The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)

Men could differentiate the life to live with and without peace; to mean the true life with the Lord or without Him. It is by the Lord’s faith, benevolence, mercy and good virtue in abidance by His law and order we are to be endowed peace. Be it in inner conflicts or else external clatter with others, even in tribal combat, national turmoil or world war, it is through the Lord we be free and find peace. He is the owner of liberty and peace. Anyone who is in personal, communal, national or international disastrous, shall find resolution, apart from any predicaments and get internal and external peace. A person who know the word of God living under His commandments is humble, tolerable and kind, thus have no open door for harm, evil or conflicts. He becomes a peaceful person and let others be in peace as well. The Prophet’s David word “I am for peace,” is applied in this kind of person. It is those kinds of people that the world necessities for we could be apart from current tribal conflicts, national wars, public genocide.
The word of God does not teach us to be harsh and kill others in cold blood. Otherwise tells us to love others as oneself “Lover your neighbor as yourself,” be patient whilst someone else is not; and care for one another rather than harm them. (Mark 12:31)

It is not the will of the Lord to hurt other human being who looks like us in every personhood. The Lord God has created man in His likely and image teaching humans to be good as He is good for us. (Genesis 1:26-27) Therefore, we His creation shall love one another in leaving in peace and harmony. The life with the Lord is full of peace and love. It is all filled by calamity, serenity and inner restfulness. The world we are to live with Him is thus peaceful.

Unfortunate to those gentiles yet is not at all peaceful but is trapped with hatred, anxiety, fear, un-calmness and intranquilty. The Prophet David has spoken of the gentiles; “I am for peace but when I speak, they are for war.” (Psalm 120:7) These types are people do not will for peace in any circumstances even in discourse as King David said. Their aim is to be negative and harms others even in conversion by their hateful and harmful tongue. Their response is negative but not positive. They seek not be in harmony with others frequently desiring to be in disagreement and conflicts causing fight that leads to social and national chaos. More than anything, they prefer to sinful act and harmfulness sinking in evilness; the deviousness nest.

Satan’s world is entirely evil, devious, harmful and poisonous, devoid of peace, tranquility and calamity. There is no stability, assurance and rest but fear, anxiety and distress in him. The joy his followers enjoy is also a temporary one that might vanish in moments. The enemy might give some world’s benefits as such as leisure, wealth, fame and power; but as greedy, lair as he is living falsity, it is him that leads to problems in those same people in worship of the idols and satanic power, to live in fear, anxiety and sorrow which might bring worse ending of losing all the wordiness virtue within a day.

Dear brethren! hear me when I tell you no good and everlasting joy come from worshiping the devil. He only has the power to give fake possession in earthly life that we could not cherish in full peace and joy but always in terror derived from inner stability. A true contentment is attained by the virtue of good and righteous life within our spirituality within Christianity. If we are to be Christian in Christ by the true life He endowed us upon the cross, we will be in peace!

May the Lord endow us peace: Amen!
