Dear children of God! How are you? How was the season of “Fast of Assumption of Saint Mary?” We hope you have spent it with you beloved ones according to the church liturgy and order! The great occasion all of us eagerly awaited for every year for we pray, fast and prostrate much have passed and we have celebrated the resurrection and assumption of our Holy Mother Saint Virgin Mary.

Children! If you may remember, on our previous lesson of “which do you remember”, we have presented to you questions on the lesson about Christians endeavors. For now, we have presented you the answers.

1. Dear children! One who relies on it, loves all equally without saying poor, rich, sinners and righteous. He/she does not hate saying sinner. But loves all as same. Does not do harm on people. If he/she sees owns brother or sister doing sinful act, he/she advises for a better personality. Keeps his secret but not give him up to others. What is it?
Answer: – Love

2. His father Jacob sends him to his brothers in giving them food. As the road was very long, he got tired. He got hungry in addition. But he could not eat the food because it is his brothers. He stayed faithful to his father’s order and his brother’s need. For this reason, the Angle of God was revealed to him and changed the stone to bread by miracle. Who is it?

3. He took the Syrian soldiers who attempted to capture him to the king, by the mercy of God. Even if they tried to kill him, he forgave, fed and send them to their country in peace. Who is this prophet of God?
Answer: – Prophet Elisha

4. His possession was all taken from him to measure his faith and tolerance. His children all had also died. Not only this. He got very ill (sick) himself. He passed all this difficult time in patience by the help of God. The Lord saved and gave him wealth. His wife also gave birth to other good children for him. He is known for his patience and made example for it. Who is this righteous man?

5. Explain about obedience from your previous lesson (from what you have learned)

Answer:- Obeying is saying “yes, and taking responsibility of what we are asked to do.” Within order there are signs (principles) that say, “Do this, and don’t do this.” There are orders that Our Lord, God has told us to do and not to do. For example, amongst the Ten Commandments, there is an order that says, “Do not steal.” And if we look at the order we are told to do, we find the words of God that says, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy”; “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Exodus 20:8, Matthew 22:39)

6. He desired of drinking water from during his reign as an Israel King. He wished saying “I wish someone will fetch me water from the well.” At this time, amongst his soldiers, Adenon, Eyabustae and Eleiyana, out of love for him, went down at the war zone and fetched the water of his desire. However, witnessing their sacrifice out of a love for him, he willed not to drink the water but spilled it as a sacrifice for the Lord. Who is he?

7. Our Lord and savior Jesus Christ raised their brother Lazarus and loved these sister named Mary and Martha.

8. She was persecuted (wronged) for a crime she did not commit. False witnesses sued her. When she was about to be punished, the prophet of God was sent from the Lord, and he reveled their falsity. She was saved from being punished whilst the liars were punished. Dear children! Lying is bad. So who is this saint the God saved from false witnesses?

9. God appointed him as a king when he was a child. King Saul attempted to kill him many time out of jealousy. But he did not do anything to him and even forgive, when King Saul tried to kill him twice. Dear children! Who is this Israel King whom God called, “a man after mine own heart?”

10. Abba Baiymon ordered him to plant a dried wood and water it to test his obedience. He then accepted his teachers’ order and water it for two years. On the third year, God saw his obedience and made the dry wood to produce fruit. Dear children! You shall also be obedient. So, who is this righteous man?

Dear children of God! we hope you have answered all the questions from what you have learned so far. Always Remember God’s love for us is special. We shall not forget what He has done for us and be obedient to His law in showing our love for Him.
