“Uttering GOD’s leniency is immense, don’t sin over sin” (Syracuse 5:5)
Living on earth as mortals, people’s capacity of good deed leans on their faith and diligence. Their willingness and interest is linked with the LOVE of GOD and obedience towards the work of worship. Though righteous are up to the chastity as he commanded, “Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your GOD am holy,” (Leviticus 19:2) But, sinners defy his words and law.
GOD is merciful and righteous in his nature. He pities those who regret their sin and plead for his mercy with good heart. But for those who underestimate his kindness, his patience is of the limit. The world these days is hovering over sin storm. Be it man, woman, teenager or adult, and elderly people become sinful without the will to repentance. Their disobedience led to facing GOD’s rage which brought the plagues. Many death and suffering came upon earth for they defied his commandments. This prophecy is said to be told and written in the Holy Bible, “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diver’s places.” (Mat. 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11)
The consequence of our ego brought disappointment on GOD. It has become obvious his anger is off the presence and the prophecy is yet to ensue. Gentiles wish not to believe the cure is from the creator himself assuming the medication and preservation is inevitable. However, even international medical professionals are unable to find the medicine for the new virus, Corona. They labeled the possible instructions of disease protection and people are applying it as much as possible. Still, the root cause of this type of plague is the outcome of our sin; Humans living without the trepidation of GOD and presuming his forgiveness is even for those who sin over sin without regret or repentance, leads to their punishment.
Sin led the city of Sodom and Gomorrah to be destroyed along with its people. Only Lot’s family were given mercy, though his wife defied GOD’s commandment and turned to salt. “With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.” When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them. As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!”
But Lot said to them, “No, my lords, please! Your servant has found favor in your eyes, and you have shown great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can’t flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I’ll die. Look, here is a town near enough to run to, and it is small. Let me flee to it; it is very small, isn’t it? Then my life will be spared.” He said to him, “Very well, I will grant this request too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of.But flee there quickly, because I cannot do anything until you reach it.” (That is why the town was called Zoar.)
By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah from the Lord out of the heavens. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities and also the vegetation in the land. But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.”(Genesis 19:15-26)
The story of Babylon could also be exemplary for their sin led to their failure. GOD mystified their languages due to their attempt to reach his kingdom. So the Lord scattered them from all over the earth and they stopped building the city; and thus it is called Babel. There, the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there, the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth. (Genesis 11:8-9)
GOD’s is merciful and virtuous; his will on humans is giving eternal life and so we are obliged to live by his rule; Sinning is what drives man to his demise. Some might be misled thinking GOD’s mercy is upon all even on sinners. But, it might be wise to understand his words and the Gospel to expect salvation. It is necessary to repent if by any means committed misdemeanor asking for amnesty.
Mankind should lament for all evil doings, seek redemption and repentance. Being delude by temptation and misinterpreting his words, “GOD’s is merciful” is flaws since it is also stated, “Uttering GOD’s leniency is immense, don’t sin over sin” (Syracuse 5:5)
We need to pray, abstain and repent to embrace GOD’s mercy. Repentance purifies humans from all evil deeds and devil spirit. The life of repentance brings chastity and fronts to eternal life. Otherwise, stated in the bible, “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire” (Matt. 7:19), we bear eternal punishment.
