The True Light

The true light, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, came from the heavens to this vain world in saving mankind, by His suffering, crucifixion and resurrection. The Holy Prophets have thought about the Soteriology (the Doctrine of Salvation)

The Lord Who has endowed us absolute knowledge, bringing human race from darkness to the light and bestowing life rising mankind from eternal death, is the true light of the world, avowed by His own word, “I am the light of the world.” (John 8:12) The Prophets have spoken about Him in resemblance of light. Prophet David has said, “Light is sown for the righteous,

And gladness for the upright in heart.” (Psalm 97:11) It is written this, in the Book of Isaiah as well as, “I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles.” (Isaiah 49:6)

The History Book has inscribed about the lightness of the Lord alike: “The light of Him is not as the light of the sun or the moon that can be covered by the sky or which day and night alternates on it. But, is true light that neither changes nor vanishes.” (Page 106) As the evangelist Saint John, “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5) In the commemoration of this, Our Holy Church has stated the time from Tahesas 14 up to 20 as “Light.”

May God the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who is light, save us from this vain dark world that is sinking in the sinful world, in strain of all the chaos of predicaments, shaken by the storm from the left to right, trembling by earthquakes, drowning by the flood and burning by the fire; Amen!

Glory be To God!
