The Seven Sacraments
Part Two
Dear Children of God! how are you? How are you doing? How are you spending your break time in this winter season? We hope you are using it properly being obedient, good and smart children to your family and God, at home as well as in Church.
Children! It is very important to learn and know about the mysteries of our church that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught, because it is through them that we can have the right knowledge, live a true life and go to heaven/inherit God’s Kingdom/.
This was the main reason we have been teaching you about the sacraments of the Church consequently on our lessons. We hope you remember our last lessons on “The Mysterious of the Church,” and “The Seven Sacraments.” And today, we will see the second part of it.
Dear Children! Last time we have seen the three division of the sacraments. On this lesson, we will the first part from them, which are “The Sacraments of Baptism, Myron and Holy Communion,” that endows the being “Children of Trinity.” These three mysteries are performed on our infant baptism day. Saint John the Apostle has said, “there are three that bear witness on earth: The Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.” (1 John 5:8)
After infants are baptized, they are ointed with Myron oil. The ointment of Myron bestows the religious knowledge, Will of God and wisdom in differentiating the good from the bad. Patristic Fathers perform the ointment of Myron and encloses us “Matebe” on our neck. Then the children will have a God Father and God Mother.
It is a must to partake of the Holy Communion after the baptism and Myron. Our Lord has said, “Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:54). This, He has first confirmed to the Apostle on the prayer day in passion week saying “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” (Matthew 26:26)
Dear Children of God! after all the three mysteries are performed, we are embraced with the grace of being “Children of Trinity.” We then become Christians full of love, peace, hope, goodness and humility.
Therefore, little ones! we shall be children of God by being obedient, good and brave. We must remember to keep the Law and Order of God in keeping this grace. And in every bad and hardships, live in hope, patience and love.
Farwell children! We have finished for today but live you with a good wish until our meeting for next lesson.
May God be with you, Amen!
