Dear Children! You might remember our lesson on faith, love and hope which are Christians endeavors. On this lesson, we have brought you revision of these topics and later on will present questions on the lessons. Therefore, follow us attentively so that you could answer and be rewarded.

Faithfulness

Children, amongst the deed that God love, faithfulness is one of them. What does faithfulness mean? Faithfulness comes from the word ‘Faithfull’ and it means ‘loyalty or to be true’. It is to be loyal to every rule that God orders us to do without any hesitation. For example, we shall be faithful to Him in obeying His ten commandments. This means we have to know each of them. You might remember because we have taught you about them but still let us remind you!

  1. You shall have no other god’s before me.
  2. You shall not make to you any graven images.
  3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain
  4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy
  5. Honor your father and mother
  6. You shall not kill
  7. You shall not commit adultery
  8. You shall not steal
  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor
  10. You shall not covet our neighbor’s house

Dear Children!  There are many stories about righteous people of God written in the Holy Bible. But let us tell you one exemplary story about Ruth. There was once a woman called Ruth and she was married to a man called Mahlon. She had no babies because her husband died. After her husband died she stayed with her Mother in Law (the mother of her husband Mahlon) called Naomi being faithful to her early marriage instead of getting married to another man and having children with him.  She went to the country Nahomi went and served her the end of her life. Therefore, God blessed her life and she lived happily.

Dear Children of God, we shall always be faithful to our Lord so that He will bless us and give us good life. Ok? Good!

Love

Love is the base for Christianity. It is to love the poor, rich, sinners, righteous (good, people of God) equally. One who has absolute love for others does not love saying righteous; or hate stating sinner. But love all equally. If Man loves his brother, does not harm him; does not tease at the time of failure. And covers his flaws.  Even if he sees him doing harmful things, he advices him instead of giving him up to enemies. He tells him his fault but not to anyone. If he deceives, he forgives him; instead of seeing the enemies’ stick of treason, he observes the mercy of God and opens his heart for forgiveness.

Dear Children of God! Saint Paul has told us a good deed does not value without love.  No deed is done without love; it is greater than raising the dead, healing the aliments, knowing deep mystery, relocating mountain and breaking sea. (1 Corinthians 13:1-13)

Once upon a time, whilst Israelites and Philistines went to battle (be in war), the Prophet King David was in wilderness. But then he got thirst of water because he was also sick and ordered his soldiers to fetch him from the city of Bethlehem which was by then captured and surrounded by the enemy.

The water from Bethlehem was considered to be cure for the sick people and so by the love for their King, the soldiers went to war with their enemies and brought him water. However, the King, witnessing their love of him that made them sacrifice their lives, he refused to drink the water. (1 Samuel 23:14-17)

Dear Children of God! Do you realize how much the soldiers loved their King that they sacrifice their own life for bringing water to him? And so he loved them as much that he refused to drink the water even when he was so thirsty.  This is loving one another.

Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught us to love each other saying, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” (John 13:34)

Dear Children of God! Love is not described by words but by act. It is the righteous level we reach by pure soul.  Ones loves does not judge others and has patient. He also forgives if betrayed.  Saint Peter advices also as to love each other saying, “above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”  (1 Peter 4:8)

Love is the good way to good social relationship and beauty to a true life. If we have love, we will live in harmony. We will care not only for ourselves but also for others.

Apostle Saint Paul has written about true love as follows; “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Dear Children of God! We have seen some realities about faithfulness and love. But it has more deep mystery. You will learn about it in-depth in higher classes when you grow up; but for now, we will finish here.

Farwell! We will leave you with a good wish of meeting you next time in good health, love and peace!

May God be with you; Amen
