Let’s Preserve Orthodox Christian Society!

Orthodox Christian Society is a society that professes the ancient faith that Lord and Savior Jesus Christ preached, the Apostles taught, the Fathers kept, and the Martyrs confessed. The social life we lead in our Christianity is the unity with the Orthodox Church. The lifestyle we follow are our orthodox faith, view and Christians endeavors harmonized by the law of God and order of the church.

The order of the prayer, fasting, alms giving and all the good endeavors are what makes our social life. One’s own Christianity is the stem to the formation of others sociality. “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. “ (Hebrew 10:25) Christianity is the root and rock for the construction of a society in a country.

The foremost base of good sociality is the true of way of Christian life; it is to carry the cross for the love of the Lord, and love of neighbor. For the love we cherish, we bond to have Christian unity. The adoration we present during our nurture of the needy, poor and sick is what ties us together for the good societal formation.

Unfortunate to humans though, the social life we ought to have by the order of God has gradually diminished and even turned out to be disaster. Men have deified the law of the creator and arose love of money instead of the Lord; but the word of God says, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” (1 John 2:15-17)

Humans have leaned on evil rather than good; it is the hate we have been consumed by, that blinded us from loving our neighbor. Rather than being one by the Name of the Lord, we have been divided into parts, where peace, happiness, health and calmness has departed us; then deviousness has overcome us, creating anxiety, fear and hate amongst us.

Therefore, the rage of the Lord and plagues is upon us. We have been hit by famine, drought, earthquakes and tribal war. If we are to continue with evilness, it is most likely to end up losing both in the worldly life and eternally.

Brethren! We need to ask ourselves daily if it is really worthy to lose our soul for a temporary consumption of excess nutrition; luxury and fornication. If we have a bit of good conscious and heart to discern the devious world and its temptation, we would have the will to at least try to keep the law of God and order in living Christian life. We shall look back and return to the Lord Who died for His absolute Love of mankind. We must have the heart of regret and repentance to be saved from the eternal fire, something we might be denying and fleeing from. But it is better to accept the truth and live by it for God is the truth!

May the Lord’s mercy be upon us; Amen!
