Sins of the Tongue

Almost half of our sins are mostly caused by our speech. Therefore, it is off the essence to know about the sins of the tongue.  The first is the seriousness of the sins of the tongue; the bible says, “for by your words will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned.  Speech of the man could bring Judgment on him.  Lord Jesus Christ early sins of which He spoke of in the sermon of the Mount is the sins of tongue. He said, “But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. (Matthew 12:37, 5:22)

The sin of tongue is a double sin of heart and tongue. According to the bible says, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and says, “A good man out of the good tongue treasure of his heart brings good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings for evil the things, the word which we say has an impact on others. While the disciples asked Lord Jesus Christ, about foods that are not eaten as such as unclean foods, he told them “not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth this defiles the man.” So, Lord Jesus Christ considered the sins of human impurity. Another word He uttered, said “But I say to you that for every idle word men speak, they will give account of it in the judgment and do not mean every idle word means and insult or as such. No, every idle word that means every word that is not build the human not for the benefit. (Luke 6:45, Matthew 12:35-36, 15:11)

In the Epistle of James the Apostle Chapter 3, He says, “Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things, see how great a little free kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body. And sets on fire the course of nature; and is set on fire by hell.” He also said “The tongue is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.” With it we bless Our God and father and with it we curse men who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. He said of the tongue, but no man can come tame the tongue. For every kind of beast and bird, for reptile and creature of sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. (James 3:5-11)

So, be wary of his sins of the tongue including insult and false, indecent speeches and stumble speech, bad temper including a loud voice and sharp sound; harsh words and impulsive talk. And the word which carries unjustly or void accused, the words of threat and intimidation; Perjury and lying swear in the error in nonsense. Such as those who say, “The Almighty God I did not do this swearing triple….” Using his name in none sense platitudes and make him testifies to the wrong thing is a sin. The word of pride, greatness and self- justification, all this sins and the words a person misleads the people by it. Sinners mislead others by ambiguous teaching or giving misleading advice. The teacher who is lost himself, mislead those who receive the knowledge; or put on the lip of other things to say, “misleading ideas” so both of them will be at the site of judgment.

The Apostle says, “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble on many things as the talk of nepotism and false promises and the transfer errors.” I mean a false talking that is transmitted from one to one causing a fatigue. Many scholars have said, “The transferor of disbelief is considered as a disbeliever. But despite the many tiles that I have said, I want to concentrate on some general errors that many of people have fallen in. An error such as: Gossip whether about a person or organization in which several sins, first Gossip is not loving; second the sin is condemn; third it is a slander; forth stumbling for whom hear. (James 3:1-2)

Gossipers sometimes have the sin of curiosity, of knowing about other persons ware bouts. They ask, “Do you know where he/she is gone? Who did he/she meet? Do you what he/she said. People have curiosity of trying to absorb the news in two ways; either they ask or watch to know about something or someone; Where did he go? Who did he meet? To whom did he talk too? They Eavesdrops on people because of the Curiosity to get information for the pleasure and one’s own benefit. Apart yourselves from all these! The one that gives out the information, has no guarantee that his sources is honest for he only says someone said what he has heard. The human who respects of his time pays attention to his talk. Man who respects his time cares about every minute of his time. These kinds people make themselves a judge and speaks in vain, with their regards and is not their concern, appropriately and in appropriately. They have springy tongues that are never restless from time to time charge it. They think that when they speak the treasures is knowledge flow from their mouth. God will not condemn the lack of knowledge because He wants you to know the only good and know Him, His commandments and the right. Sometimes we exhaust ourselves in the knowledge of things. We will not condemn in the Day of Judgment for our ignorance of them; wanting to know things will not be the reason for condemnation in the Day of Judgment.

Among the mistakes that many of us fall is Exaggerating, which is a lie or collective rule. Millions people are characterized by the same capacity. There are things as an absolute right; let this aside but other things when we say that all, we cannot guarantee that all is honest. Among the mistakes that many people have fallen is the prate; With the view of the old proverb, “spoke a lot but did not say anything.”

People fall in as gossip which is backbiting; meaning to talk about someone in his absence by words we cannot say in his presence. As well as gossip are lies. To say a lie about someone, although it is not true and what is said has not happened. For all the mistakes of the tongue, the righteous preferred the silence; but the silence has the conditions and rules.
