The fragment of the Holy Cross came to Ethiopia from Alexandria in Mesekrem 10. Yet it was kept at Gishen in a church, in Meskrem 21 where Emperor Zera Yacob, announced it to the whole Ethiopia in reading texts.<\/p>\n<p>Every year on this day, all Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Religion believers travel from different parts of the country, to this parish in receiving blessing from the Holy Cross and relics. Laities have been congregating to this holy place beginning that time until these days. It is in scripted in \u201cThe book of Tefut\u201d \u00a0the vow God has endowed to laities who repent before travelling to Gishen, so as to pray and plead, to save seven generations of theirs.<\/p>\n<p>May God endow us blessing of the Holy Cross; Amen!!!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The history of Gishen Mariam\u2019s parishes establishment has its own reasons.
