\u201cHe went into their synagogue\u201d (Matthew 12:9)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The third week of \u201cThe Great Lent\u201d is known as \u201cSynagogue\u201d according to the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church education. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ entered to this synagogue, which served as the temple of Jews. Whilst in His teaching age in Jerusalem, there were synagogues in which the apostles also thought the gospel.<\/p>\n

On the Sabbath known as \u201csynagogue\u201d, Our Lord rebuked the changers, threw out those who made the temple cattle drive and sells of gold along their things. It is stated in the gospel of John as, \u201cHe found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers\u00a0doing business. When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers\u2019 money and overturned the tables.\u201d (John 2:14-15)<\/p>\n

He also thought them saying \u201cmy house is a prayer place;\u201d but you have made it a\u00a0\u2018den of thieves.\u201d (Luke 19:46) The hymn of Saint Jared for this Sabbath, all the lyrics, songs and readings are correlated with our Lord\u2019s teachings, preaching and miracles.<\/p>\n
