On wards all His miraculous, He was sued in the Calvary in front of the roman governor of Judea, Pontius Pilate\u00a0not only for a crime He has not committed but also for scam of liberating the bandit Barabbas, on the sixth day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNow the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought\u00a0false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none. Even though\u00a0many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last\u00a0two\u00a0false witnesses came forward\u00a0and said, \u201cThis\u00a0fellow\u00a0said,\u00a0\u2018I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.\u2019 \u201d <strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And the high priest arose and said to Him, \u201cDo You answer nothing? What\u00a0is it\u00a0these men testify against You?\u201d\u00a0<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>But\u00a0Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him,\u00a0\u201cI put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!\u201d <strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Jesus said to him,\u00a0\u201cIt is as\u00a0you said. Nevertheless, I say to you,\u00a0hereafter you will see the Son of Man\u00a0sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, \u201cHe has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His\u00a0blasphemy!<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>What do you think?\u201d They answered and said,\u00a0\u201cHe is deserving of death.\u201d (Matthew 26:59-66)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>His Suffering: &#8211; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After their conviction, \u201cthe Jews spat in His face and beat Him; and\u00a0others struck\u00a0Him\u00a0with\u00a0the palms of their hands,<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>saying,\u00a0\u201cProphesy to us, Christ! Who is the one who struck You?\u201d (Matthew 26:67-68)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lord Jesus Christ was captured on the fourth day, locally known as \u201cHamus,\u201d and put to trail early morning \u201cArebe. \u201cWhen morning came,\u00a0all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.\u00a0And when they had bound Him, they led Him away and\u00a0delivered Him to\u00a0Pontius Pilate the governor.\u201d (Matthew 27:1-2)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The betrayer Judas had previously led the Jews to capture Jesus, selling Him, but then, knowing that he had been condemned, thought of returning back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, but was refused. So, after throwing down the pieces of slivers in the temple, went and hanged himself. (Matthew 27:3-5)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Later on, \u201cThe chief priests took the silver pieces and said, \u201cIt is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because they are the price of blood.\u201d<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And they consulted together and bought with them the potter\u2019s field, to bury strangers in.<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Therefore, that field has been called\u00a0the Field of Blood to this day.\u201d (Matthew 27:6-8)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the Calvary, Lord Jesus Christ was questioned by Pontius Pilate; \u201cAre You the King of the Jews?\u201d Jesus said to him,\u00a0\u201cIt is as\u00a0you say.\u201d\u00a0And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders,\u00a0He answered nothing. Then Pilate said to Him,\u00a0\u201cDo You not hear how many things they testify against You?\u201d<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.\u201d (Matthew 27:11-14)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The governor Pilate knew the Jews persecuted Lord Jesus out of envy and jealousy but with no fault at all. As the Jews had a custom of releasing one prisoner they desired and hence, Pilate had to ask whether he shall release Lord Jesus or the notorious prisoner Barabbas whom they liked. The crowd preferred the release of the bandit instead of the redeemer of the world our Lord. \u201cWhile he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, \u201cHave nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.\u201d (Matthew 27:15-29)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pontius Pilate asked saying, \u201cWhich of the two do you want me to release to you?\u201d They said,\u00a0\u201cBarabbas!\u201d Pilate said to them, \u201cWhat then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?\u201d They\u00a0all said to him, \u201cLet Him be crucified!\u201d Then the governor said,\u00a0\u201cWhy, what evil has He done?\u201d But they cried out all the more, saying, \u201cLet Him be crucified!\u201d <strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather\u00a0that\u00a0a\u00a0tumult was rising, he\u00a0took water and washed\u00a0his\u00a0hands before the multitude, saying, \u201cI am innocent of the blood of this\u00a0just Person. You see\u00a0to it.\u201d And all the people answered and said,\u00a0\u201cHis blood\u00a0be\u00a0on us and on our children.\u201d<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Then he released Barabbas to them; and when\u00a0he had\u00a0scourged Jesus, he delivered\u00a0Him\u00a0to be crucified.\u201d (Matthew 27:23-26)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The soldiers stripped the Lord and put on Him a scarlet robe. They had then beaten Him 6666, times, kicked and dragged by the rope and fallen Him down \u201cAnd when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe o\ufb00 from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.\u201d (Matthew 27:29-31)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>His Crucifixion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Whilst reaching to Golgotha, a place of skull, \u201cThey gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. And they cruci\ufb01ed him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be ful\ufb01lled which was spoken by the prophet, they parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.\u201d \u00a0(Matthew 27:33-35)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cFrom the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land.\u201d (Matthew 27:45) The sun had hidden its light when it saw its creator incarnated, hanging with His own free will on the wood of the Cross, inclined His head, and yielded up His spirit. (Coptic Synaxarium)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ninth hour was where His soul departed from His body. \u201cAnd about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?\u201d (Matthew 27:46) After His death, \u201cthe even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus\u2019 disciple: He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher, and departed.\u201d (Matthew 27:57-60)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>His Resurrection <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the end of the first Sabbath, dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the sepulcher that the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was buried in.\u00a0 Then followed earth quake for the Angel of God came and rolled back the stone. \u201cbehold, there was a great earthquake; for\u00a0an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone\u00a0from the door, and sat on it.\u00a0<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.\u00a0And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like\u00a0dead\u00a0men.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But the angel answered and said to the women, \u201cDo not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.\u00a0He is not here; for He is risen,\u00a0as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.\u00a0<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed\u00a0He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.\u201d (Matthew 28:1-7)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then, as they went to tell the disciples about the Lord\u2019s resurrection, Lord Jesus met them and said, \u201cRejoice!\u201d\u00a0So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Then Jesus said to them,\u00a0\u201cDo not be afraid. Go\u00a0and\u00a0tell\u00a0My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.\u201d Afterwards, some of the guard told the chief Priests the disciples stole the Lord\u2019s body while they were sleeping. This saying is told among the Jews even till present day. \u00a0(Matthew 28:9-15)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Onwards,\u00a0the disciples went to the mountain in Galilee, which Lord Jesus had appointed for them. \u201cWhen they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some\u00a0doubted.
