Mount of Olive- The Second Coming of the Lord<\/strong><\/p>\n

Apostasy era was when we have witnessed the Lord\u2019s presence for the first time Who wear the flesh and blood of human to appear on earth, for all the work of Him in redeeming the world. He was born from Holy Mother Saint Mary, clothed, breath fed like a baby, grew in few and limited within a height and weight of man, walked, talked and ate as one of us, was hungered, sorrowed, mourned, suffered much for His unconditional and true love.<\/p>\n

His words healing the soul, hands curing many maladies and the revelation of Him proved as Holy Son of the Holy Father on river Jordan upon His baptism in the hands of Saint John the Baptist and His Divinity on the high mountain locally known as \u201cDebre Tabor\u201d in front of the disciples. (Matthew 3:13-17, 17:1-8).<\/p>\n

All this He did for the acknowledgement of Him as the Lord Who came down from the heavens for the salvation of human race upon those believing His holy words, miraculous of His hands and work of redemption. Yet, during His preaching the gospel, the Lord has warned about the second coming of Him for Judgement at the end of the age, through the disciples on mount of olive, accord their query. The apostle Saint Mark states it in his gospel as follows: – (Mark 13\u13613-37)<\/p>\n

The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple,\u00a0Peter,\u00a0James,\u00a0John, and\u00a0Andrew asked Him privately,\u00a0\u201c<\/sup>Tell us, when will these things be? And what\u00a0will be\u00a0the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?\u201d<\/p>\n

And Jesus, answering them, began to say:\u00a0\u201cTake heed that no one deceives you.\u00a0For many will come in My name, saying, \u2018I am\u00a0He,\u2019 and will deceive many.\u00a0But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for\u00a0such things\u00a0must happen, but the end\u00a0is\u00a0not yet.\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>For nation will rise against nation, and\u00a0kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines\u00a0[<\/sup>a<\/sup>]<\/sup>and troubles.\u00a0These\u00a0are\u00a0the beginnings of\u00a0sorrows.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut\u00a0watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will\u00a0be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.\u00a0 And\u00a0the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>But when they arrest\u00a0you<\/em>\u00a0and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand,\u00a0or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak,\u00a0but the Holy Spirit.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Now\u00a0brother will betray brother to death, and a father\u00a0his\u00a0child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And you will be hated by all for My name\u2019s sake. But\u00a0he who\u00a0endures to the end shall be saved.<\/p>\n

The Great Tribulation<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSo when you see the\u00a0\u2018abomination of desolation,\u2019 spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not\u201d\u00a0(let the reader understand),\u00a0\u201cthen\u00a0let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.\u00a0 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And pray that your flight may not be in winter. For\u00a0in\u00a0those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.\u00a0 And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect\u2019s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>\u201cThen if anyone says to you, \u2018Look, here\u00a0is<\/em>\u00a0the Christ!\u2019 or, \u2018Look,\u00a0He is\u00a0there!\u2019 do not believe it. For false Christ\u2019s and false prophets will rise and show signs and\u00a0wonders to deceive, if possible, even the\u00a0elect.\u00a0 But\u00a0take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.<\/p>\n

The Coming of the Son of Man<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cBut in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be\u00a0shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.\u00a0 And then He will send His angels, and gather together His\u00a0elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.<\/p>\n

The Parable of the Fig Tree<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cNow learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>So you also, when you see these things happening, know that\u00a0it is near\u2014at the doors!\u00a0 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Heaven and earth will pass away, but\u00a0My words will by no means pass away.<\/p>\n

No One Knows the Day or Hour<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cBut of that day and hour\u00a0no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the\u00a0Father.\u00a0 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>It is\u00a0like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave\u00a0authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning\u00a0lest, coming suddenly, he finds you sleeping.\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!\u201d<\/p>\n

Dear brethren! as time is of the value and we are not to know the second coming of our Lord on Judgement day, it is better to realize the warrant of Him to always be good, generous, gentile, faithful in prayer, fasting, diligence and Christian endeavors within the Orthodox Incarnation religion. We shall be alerted in living by His law and order of the Church and await His loving words to enter us in His kingdom saying \u201c\u2018Come, you blessed of My Father,\u00a0inherit the kingdom\u00a0prepared for you from the foundation of the world:\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink;\u00a0I was a stranger and you took Me in;\u00a0I\u00a0was\u00a0naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me;\u00a0I was in prison and you came to Me.\u2019 (Matthew 25:34-36).<\/p>\n

Better to crave our destiny to heaven facing all the hardships and scarification for the soul than to be said, \u201cDepart from Me, you cursed,\u00a0into the everlasting fire prepared for\u00a0the devil and his angels:\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;\u00a0I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.\u2019\u00a0 (Matthew 25: 41-43)<\/p>\n
