Feasts of Lord Jesus Christ\u2019s Conception<\/strong><\/p>\n

The savior of the world, the redeemer of mankind and the salvation of all human race Lord Jesus Christ work of salvation through becoming human announced to Holy Mother Saint Mary is the foremost feasts commemorated in our holy orthodox incarnation church.<\/p>\n

On the 29 day of Month of Megabit (April 7,2023), Archangel Saint Gabriel came to her whilst she was on the temple that is on the sixth month of the conception of Elisabeth to bore Saint John the Baptist. It is in scripted as, \u201cNow in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, \u201cRejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!\u201d But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, \u201cDo not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.\u201d Then Mary said to the angel, \u201cHow can this be, since I do not know a man?\u201d And the angel answered and said to her, \u201cThe Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then the angel gave her the proof of the validity of his massage, \u201cNow indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. \u201cFor with God nothing will be impossible.\u201d Then Mary said, \u201cBehold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.\u201d And the angel departed from her. (Luke 1:26-36)<\/p>\n

When Saint Mary accepted this Divine Annunciation, the Holy Son, the Word of God, who is One of the Three Eternal Persons, came and dwelt in her womb, a dwelling, the human race cannot comprehend. Straightway He united with perfect humanity a complete unity inseparable and unchangeable after the unity. This day then is the first-born of all feasts, for in it was the beginning of the salvation of the world which was fulfilled by the Holy Resurrection of our Lord, saving Adam and his offspring from the hands of Satan.
