God\u2019s Will<\/strong><\/p>\n

Living in a deceitful world, we struggle against evil but God is always sovereign and His will is upon human for redemption and freedom. (Romans 8:28) In scripted in Holy Scriptures, God\u2019s will is of two kind; God\u2019s revealed will and Mysterious will.<\/p>\n

God\u2019s Revealed Will <\/strong><\/p>\n

God\u2019s revealed will is what He has already made known to His people through Holy Scriptures.<\/p>\n

It is His revelation of the truth. In Matthew 7:21 Lord Jesus says, \u201cNot everyone who says to me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.\u201d \u201cWill of God\u201d is the reference of abide by God\u2019s revealed will in living spiritual life. Saint Paul in his message to the Ephesians says, \u201cFor I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.\u201d (Acts 20:27)<\/p>\n

God\u2019s Mysterious Will <\/strong><\/p>\n

God in His Divine power has a mysterious way of caring out His work. His will is also known as \u201cGod\u2019s mysterious or hidden will\u201d referring to \u201cHis sovereign control over the universe.\u201d It is the means of His Divinity within the world.<\/p>\n

It might be difficult for us humans to entirely understand His will since it is mysterious or hidden. We are also unable to know what is ahead but God knows better because He is sovereign but we are not. In Exodus 3:12: \u201cGod said to Prophet Moses, \u2018I will be with you.\u00a0 This will be a sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.\u201d<\/p>\n

There are other examples of how God\u2019s mysterious will is explained in Holy Bible. Saint Peter says that \u201cLord Jesus was handed over to you by God\u2019s deliberate plan (word for \u201cwill\u201d) and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.\u201d (Acts 2:23) Saint Peter didn\u2019t recognize the Holy cross as part of God\u2019s plan but over time he came to acknowledge the wisdom of Lord Jesus Christ\u2019s Crucifixion. (Mark 8:32\u201333)<\/p>\n

Another example to mentioned here is in scripted in Acts 21:14 as Saint Paul insisted on going to Jerusalem, and the people responded saying: \u201cWhen he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said, \u2018The Lord\u2019s will be done\u2019\u201d (Acts 21:14, Luke 22:42). It is of the essence to also recon Saint Paul former life persecuting Christians and even chasing His Lord but became an Apostle \u201cby the will of God\u201d (1 Corinthians 1:1; 2 Corinthians 1:1; Ephesians 1:1; Colossians 1:1; 2 timothy 1:1). In His epistle to the Romans Saint Paul says that \u201cthe Spirit intercedes for God\u2019s people in accordance with the will of God.\u201d (Romans 8:27) Saint Peter also says \u201cit is better, if it is God\u2019s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.\u201d (1 Peter 3:17)<\/p>\n

It is not in the capacity of Humans to know whether it is or not the will of God for us to suffer but His ordeal is always for better cause. Suffering for doing evil is quite clearly not God\u2019s will, even if it is just. But certainly not all suffering (such as abuse, disease, car wrecks, etc.) is ultimately God\u2019s will. God\u2019s will is for creation\u2019s wholeness.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
