Alpha and Omega and Almighty God<\/strong><\/p>\n

God the creator of all, is the Alpha, Omega and Almighty. In scripted in the Holy bible, He says, \u201cI am the first and I am the last, besides me there is no god.\u201d God has many names and attributes. We primarily acknowledge His name in when He appeared to Abram and said, \u201cI am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.\u201d (Genesis 49:24, Genesis 17:1, Psalm 132:2-5) and \u201cI am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, Who is, Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty.\u201d (Isaiah 44:6, Revelation 1:8)<\/p>\n

The name \u201cAlmighty\u201d is written as \u2018El Shaddai\u2019 in Hebrew to mean \u201cGod, the All-powerful One\u201d or \u201cThe Mighty One of Jacob.\u201d Almighty means that there is nothing greater, stronger, more powerful or infinite than God. The title insights God\u2019s ultimate power over all for He has all might and power. God is the Almighty the Creator of heaven and earth Builder of everything the King of heaven, God of all mankind and the Eternal King. He is the only God; the Eternal God the Everlasting God and Maker of all things He is able to do more things than we can ask or even imagine He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed and miracles that cannot be counted God\u2019s power is unlimited. He can do anything He wants, whenever He wants. He spoke the Universe into existence. Furthermore, He answers to no one as to His plans and purposes: \u201cAll the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: \u2018What have you done?\u2019\u201d (Genesis 49:25, Hebrews 3:4, Daniel 4:35-37,Jeremiah 32:27, Jeremiah 10:10, (Jude 1:25, (Genesis 21:33, Isaiah 40:28, (Ecclesiastes 11:5, Ephesians 3:20, Job 9:10,Psalm 115:3,Genesis 1:3, )<\/p>\n

God as the Almighty, we are struck by His power and by the fact that He is indeed a great, mighty, and awesome God. The identity of God as Almighty serves to establish the sense of awe and wonder we have toward Him and the realization that He is God above all things without limitation. This is important in view of how He is described next in the Bible. In Exodus 6:2-3, God said to Moses, \u201cI am the LORD. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them.\u201d (Deuteronomy 10:17)<\/p>\n

How is this significant? It is significant because God, whom we previously knew only as God Almighty, has now given a new, more personal and intimate name to Moses (and Israel). This desire on God\u2019s part for a more personal relationship with mankind would culminate later when God Almighty sent His only Son to earth–God in flesh–to die on the cross so that a way for forgiveness of our sins could be provided. The fact that God Almighty would humble Himself in this way for us makes His name all the more remarkable.<\/p>\n
